Quick Report: Brazil 2-1 Norway
August 15, 2008

SHENYANG (SW) – The Brazilian women’s team are through to the semi finals of the Olympic tournament following a 2-1 win over Norway on Saturday.
The first half seemed to go by without goals but Daniela changed this heading just before the break, putting Brazil in the lead.
And star player Marta doubled the gap twelve minutes into the second half.
Brazil couldn’t avoid a tense final phase though as Norway were given a spot kick in the 83rd minute, and Nordby made no mistake from eleven meters.
But the South Americans held on to their lead to secure their spot in the next stage.
The Brazilians, who reached the final in Athens, will face the winner of the match between Sweden and Germany in Monday’s semi final.
