November 20, 2008

BELFAST (AFP) - Second-half goals from Sandor Torghelle and Fulham’s Zoltan Gera saw Hungary to a 2-0 win against Northern Ireland at a rainswept Windsor Park in an international friendly here Wednesday.

Torghelle opened the scoring in the 57th minute when he found the target from close range following a pull-back from the byline by Szabolcs Husti.

Gera added a second in the 71st minute when he got on the end of a through ball before connecting with a well-struck shot.

Northern Ireland, without several first-choice players, saw their best chance come before half-time when experienced striker David Healy’s header was saved by Gabor Babos.
