May 31, 2009
IFK Göteborg extend their lead in the Swedish league following a convincing 4-0 victory over IF Brommapojkarna on Saturday.
Pontus Wernbloom put Göteborg ahead on 58 minutes, after which the away side’s resistance was broken. Niklas Barkroth doubled the advantage in minute 79, soon followed by additional goals from Stefan Selakovic and a second from Barkroth.
Göteborg have 27 points from twelve games, three points more than second-placed IF Elfsborg.
Helsingborg could move into second place on Sunday, away to Kalmar FF.
