Togo stand no chance in Gabon
June 7, 2009
Togo are less likely to reach their second consecutive World Cup after a hopeless 3-0 defeat in and against Gabon.
The team that qualified for Germany 2006 but failed to convince at the actual tournament, conceded an opening goal from Bruno Manga in the 11th minute.
Roguy Meye made it 2-0 in minute 56 and the third and final goal came from Moise Apanga with seven minutes left.
Togo and Gabon shared the lead after their opening games, but Gabon now remain as sole leaders. Morocco and Cameroon face on Sunday, in an attempt to make up for shock defeats in their first Round 3 games.
