Rubin Kazan lose to Amkar Perm
September 26, 2009

Rubin Kazan gave their competitors new hope as the defending champions and current leaders crashed to a 1-2 defeat by Amkar Perm.
Alejandro Dominguez put Rubin ahead after seven minutes but the Argentinian had his goal cancelled out by Amkar’s Serbian striker Predrag Sikimic 12 minutes later.
The winning goal for the away side came five minutes after the hour, and was scored by Bulgarian substitute Georgi Peev.
If second-placed Spartak Moscow beat Tom Tomsk on Sunday, the gap with Rubin would be reduced from seven to four points.
