Hannover’s Schulz wants to play despite two fractures
October 27, 2009

Christian Schulz is a tough one: the Hannover 96 defender has a broken nose and a broken middle finger. Despite the fractures he still wants to play against Cologne, this Saturday.
Hannover beat Stuttgart (1-0), last Saturday. During that match, Schulz collided with Stuttgart attacker Cyprian Marica. During that encounter the Hannover centre half broke his nose. In the same match he broke his middle finger and injured his foot.
Despite his injuries the 26-year-old decided to stay on the pitch.
The former Werder Bremen player is currently working hard on his recovery and hopes he will be able to play on Saturday.
“We’re not like Bayern Munich, who can easily replace four or five regular starting players,” Schulz declared his eagerness to play to Der Kicker.
