Knee injury rules Amanatidis out for a month
November 3, 2009
Greece striker Ioannis Amanatidis is expected to be out for the next four weeks because of a knee injury, his Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt revealed on Monday.
The 27-year-old needs an operation on his right knee to remove damaged cartilage which is expected to keep him on the sidelines for the next four weeks.
“Ioannis will be out for a while, we don’t know how long exactly, but we have a rough idea,” said Frankfurt’s chairman Heribert Bruchhagen.
Amanatidis missed Sunday’s 2-1 Bundesliga win over Bochum which leaves his side ninth in the league.
