Milan admits Gattuso may leave
December 4, 2009

Gennaro Gatusso is set to leave AC Milan after more than ten years. This season, the midfielder isn’t a regular starter for the Rossoneri and he has expressed his discontent with this situation several times. Now, the club has conceded that Gattuso may leave the Serie A side in the transfer window.
The 31-year-old midfielder, who’s currently injured, recently received an offer from Milan to extend his contract that expires in 2011. Now, it seems like Gattuso won’t accept that offer. “I’m Rino Gattuso and I don’t belong on Milan’s bench,” he said earlier. “I shouldn’t have to wait until someone is injured to be able to play.”
“Now he has two roads; he can either extend his contract or leave, therefore he’ll take a decision in December, before January,” Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani told reporters on Friday. Galliani also announced that Manchester City are interested in signing Gattuso.
