Modric out of Blackburn match

Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric has suffered an ankle injury which has ruled the Croatia international out of this weekend’s Premier League match away to Blackburn Rovers, it was announced Friday.

Meanwhile Tottenham’s David Bentley has a calf strain and is doubtful for the match against his former club.

Defenders Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate are not expected to feature because of injuries.

Following their 3-0 midweek win over Manchester City, Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League table while Blackburn are in 12th place.
