Carly Zucker & Joe Cole Tie The Knot
June 24, 2009
The pair got married on Saturday at the Royal Hospital Chelsea as rumoured in a very lovely ceremony.
Carly Zucker (or should it be Cole), looked very beautiful in a strapless Oscar de la Renta gown and Joe very dapper in his grey suit.
The sporting couple managed to steer clear of any WAG tackiness, there wasn’t a horse, carriage or throne in sight…The wedding appeared very classy and understated.
In their exclusive interview with Hello! Carly says that she is now very happy to be a full time WAG, meaning no work for Mrs Cole!!
Carly explains: ‘I tried it (working) before with the personal training as well as running the house, and it just made me stressed and unhappy.’
‘It wasn’t good for me and it wasn’t good for Joe and his football. I am lucky enough to be in a position where I don’t have to work.’
Indeed you are Carly, if only we could all be as lucky!
She added: ‘I am offered projects all the time, but I don’t feel I need to prove anything, or that I need a career to feel good about myself.’

Juninho mulling Vasco de Gama swansong
March 28, 2009
LYON (AFP) – Juninho Pernambucano, skipper of Lyon’s serial champions, said Friday he would wait until the season’s end to see what the future holds but admitted he might well choose to finish off his career with Brazilian second-tier outfit Vasco de Gama.
Juninho, who had six years with the club before coming to France in 2001, is out of contract in June but Lyon say they will abide by his decision as to whether he wishes to prolong his stay or return home.
"There are nine matches left to play to help the club to an eighth title and I am concentrating on that. Today, I will not allow myself to think about me," Juninho said, adding the support of the fans could help him make up his mind.
"I hope my story with this club will come to an end in the best way possible," added the Brazilian, who has won seven league crowns as well as the French Cup last season.
"If I can continue to play at this level I may well carry on but returning home to Vasco de Gama is also on the cards," said Juninho, who noted the club have just been relegated for the first time.

Kelly Brook is Used By Chinese to Sell Contraception
March 12, 2009
A picture of Kelly Brook has been discovered on the front of Chinese packets of condoms without her permission!
The image shows the model posing in a gold bikini, a shot thought to have been taken early in her career with Chinese branding displayed across her body.
Kelly Brook’s management are now investigating the branding after not being aware of any endorsement.
The WAG is not the first celebrity to be used for unauthorised Chinese advertising, David Beckham and Sean Connery have been used recently to promote a treatment for erectile dysfunction.

Terry won´t contemplate City switch
February 16, 2009
LONDON (AFP) – Chelsea captain John Terry insists he will end his career at Stamford Bridge after the Blues rejected a bid from Manchester City for the England defender.
City made a 20 million pounds offer to sign Terry during the January transfer window, but Chelsea refused to consider selling their centre-back.
Terry was delighted to hear Chelsea had been so determined to keep him and quickly rubbished suggestions that he has grown disillusioned at the Premier League club after two seasons of turmoil following Jose Mourinho’s sacking.
"Chelsea told me what had happened with the enquiry as a courtesy," Terry said. "I was very happy with their reaction as mine would have been the same.
"I have always said that I want to end my career at the club which I love and we all see no reason why that cannot happen.
"Given recent events I am more determined than ever to make Chelsea successful again."
Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon confirmed that City’s bid was given short shrift.
"We made it very clear that John was not for sale," he said. "We did not entertain any further conversation on the subject and nor will we in the future. John is our captain and the captain of England. He is part of the heart and soul of Chelsea."

Adriano plans to stay at Internazionale
December 30, 2008
MILAN (SW) – Brazilian striker Adriano has ended recent rumours that linked the player to teams in his home country, saying that he plans to stay at Serie A leaders Internazionale.
Most rumours pointed in the direction of Flamengo, but nothing of this is true, according to the player: "I have never said that I want to leave Inter.
"I love Flamengo, since I grew up there. I have already made clear that when I return to Brazil, then that would be my destination. But I don’t think it will happen now," he said.
Adriano began his career at ‘Fla’ in 2000, but joined Inter a year later. Since, the forward also represented Fiorentina, Parma and Sao Paulo. This summer, he returned to Milan’s San Siro and so far scored one goal in seven appearances.

Man City ready to bid for Bellamy and Parker, British media say
December 29, 2008
MANCHESTER (SW) – Manchester City are reportedly ready to make a bid for West Ham United striker Craig Bellamy and midfielder Scott Parker, according to British media.
City have approached West Ham before but the Hammers then said to have no interest in selling these two key players. This however, doesn’t keep the Manchester outfit from trying again.
Bellamy, 29 years old, began his career at Norwich City in 1996 and has represented Coventry City, Newcastle, Celtic, Blackburn and Liverpool before joining West Ham in 2007.
Parker, born in 1980, played for Charlton Athletic, Norwich city, Chelsea and Newcastle United, after which he moved to West Ham at the same time as Bellamy.
Man City are currently 13th in the table, having climbed away from the relegation zone after a few positive results. West Ham are tenth.
City are said to launch a combined bid of 15 million Pounds for the two players.

December 24, 2008
ZAGREB (AFP) – Dynamo Zagreb midfielder Mihael Mikic said Tuesday he has negotiated an early exit from the Croatian champions to join Japanese second division outfit Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

Grayson takes over at Leeds Utd
December 23, 2008
LEEDS, England (AFP) – Fallen English giants Leeds appointed Blackpool’s Simon Grayson as their new manager on Tuesday.
Grayson takes over at the League One club just 48 hours after Gary McAllister was sacked following a miserable run of five successive defeats.
The 39-year-old, who began his career as a trainee at Leeds, will take charge for the first time in Friday’s match against league leaders Leicester at Elland Road.
Championship club Blackpool had initially refused Leeds permission to speak to Grayson, who led the Seasiders to promotion from League One in 2007, but a deal was quickly agreed to allow him to move to the former English champions.
