Pavlyuchenko set to leave Spurs

Roman Pavlyuchenko’s agent is trying to engineer a move to AS Roma for his player which is expected to take form shortly.

The Russian striker has started only two games for Tottenham Hotspur this season, in the League Cup, but instead of leading the attack at White Hart lane, Pavlyuchenko is preparing for talks with Roma.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has been linked with a move for the striker as he tries to find a partner for Fernando Torres up front and Birmingham City and Spartak Moscow have also been linked but the striker’s agent Oliver Wendt is hoping to fix up a move with Roma this week.

“Roman wants to leave London and he wants to go to Roma. If Tottenham allow him to go, Roman could be a Roma player,” Wendt said.

“Everything depends on the meeting we will have today or tomorrow with Roma. I had contact with the Roma directors last week too and they showed they were interested.”

Pavlyuchenko has been fourth choice striker for Tottenham this season, with Harry Redknapp preferring Robbie Keane, Peter Crouch and Jermaine Defoe to the Russian.

Tottenham Hotspur next face Manchester United in their League Cup quarter-final on Tuesday night.

Danielle Lloyd to Write Tell-All Book!

According to source Popbitch, Danielle Lloyd is getting a tell-all book ready for this autumn.

Apparently the former WAG is planning to name names and give her side to a number of her relationships in the book.

The source said: ‘We’re told there’s 15 Premiership stars getting a little hot under the collar about things she might know about them.’

Danielle Lloyd has been with a string of high profile ‘ballers in the past including Teddy Sheringham, Jermaine Defoe and Alan Hutton.

They were also rumours that Danielle had a relationship with Marcus Bent because she thought he was a Spurs striker. - Love it!

We hope this rumour is true as we would be first in line to read the confessions of this serial WAG.

Jermaine Defoe speaks about Portsmouth

Jermaine Defoe has spoken about the feelings of the Portsmouth fans relating to his departure from Fratton Road back to the north of London and Tottenham Hotspur.

Defoe said that he never wanted to leave Spurs in the first place.

He had even received death threats from irate Pompey fans when it became clear that he was going to leave for White Hart Lane.

He added that it was the death threats that had sickened him more than anything else had.

However, he did feel sorry for the genuine fans of the club who were disappointed at his departure but the comings and goings of players had become an integral part of football.
