Ronaldinho “loved and respected” at Milan
January 19, 2010

After several years in which it looked liked the old Ronaldinho would never come back, the Brazilian appears to have returned to shape and says to feel happy at AC Milan.
In an interview with French sportspaper l’Equipe, Ronaldinho said to feel “loved and respected” at the Italian outfit.
“It is a special moment in my life and in my career. We know that we have to work hard to win the ‘Scudetto’, but this team can reach the final destination in the three competitions,” he added.
Ronaldinho went on to comment on the relationship with manager Leonardo: “It it normal that when someone gets affection, he responds.”
The 29-year-old midfielder joined Milan in 2008 after five seasons at Barcelona. In Spain, the player was particularly successful until 2006 but lost much of his form in the two following years.

Rafa Benitez: Chelsea’s Ancelotti Is A Great Manager
October 3, 2009

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is looking forward to Sunday’s trip to the capital to face Chelsea, particularly as the game will give him the opportunity to tangle with Carlo Ancelotti once again.
The Italian was the manager of AC Milan when Benitez’s Reds completed a legendary comeback to win the Champions League in 2005, and he is a coach for whom the Spaniard has the utmost respect.
“It will be interesting because he is a great manager,” the Liverpool boss told his pre-match press conference. “We have played in finals, so it will be good to see him and hopefully we will meet in another final. He knows how to manage a top side, he has experience at AC Milan. He is also doing a good job here and has good players too.”
“Chelsea haven’t changed too much. They have changed the shape of the team a bit, but the style is still similar. Their fans are happy because when you win games everyone is happier. I have a lot of respect for Ancelotti. He is a nice man who wants to win. We have respect for each other.”
As for whether the game can be considered crucial to the title race at this stage of the season, Benitez feels that it is too early to say. The three points would certainly be welcome after the midweek Champions League disappointment at Fiorentina.

Everton concern at Fellaini illness
August 3, 2009

Everton manager David Moyes is concerned midfielder Marouane Fellaini may miss the start of the season with the Belgium international suffering from a virus which has caused him to lose significant weight.
Fellaini did play in Sunday’s pre-season draw with Coventry but Moyes is worried he may not make the start of the Premiership campaign at home to Arsenal on August 15.
“Fellaini has had an illness for most of the summer which has affected him,” said Moyes.
“He picked up a viral infection in the summer. It got into his blood, he lost a lot of weight and he wasn’t a boy that could afford to lose any weight.
“It’s noticeable looking at him how thin he has become. It has definitely had an effect on his overall performance.
“It is going to take a little while I feel for him to get his full strength back. I don’t think he is there yet.
“He has not been right all through pre-season and he is still not right.
“When you are the shape and build he is, when you lose weight it’s not all that easy to put it back on.”

Cheryl Cole Spends £100,000 to Look This Good?
June 26, 2009
It has been reported that Cheryl Cole spends rather a lot on her appearance, £100,000 to be exact.
I always knew Cheryl’s pristine appearance had to come at a price, no one looks this good without a little help.
So what is Cheryl spending her hard earned money on…
Well firstly there’s those trademark hair extensions that set her back £9,000 a year. Then there’s the £14,000 for her personal trainer to keep her in shape (shouldn’t Ashley be able to do that?!)
But it doesn’t stop there, Cheryl also pays a stylist £30,000 a year to maintain her fashion icon status and £12,000 a year on a dietician.
Wowsa!! And that’s without the cost of all her cosmetics, false eyelashes and tanning products.
it’s true what they say beauty really does come at a price and a very expensive one at that!

Miguel Torres’s Refreshing View on Women
May 13, 2009
Miguel Torres believes beauty comes from within…Now there’s something you wouldn’t expect a ‘baller to say.
The Real Madrid player is probably the only professional footballer in the world, who doesn’t think looks are the most important quality in a WAG.
We bet he still only dates models!
Torres said: ‘There are women who don’t have the bodies to be models, but I think they are absolutely beautiful. I don’t care how one dresses or what their measurements are. I like their personality, behavior…
‘A girl can be the perfect size and shape, but it won’t mean a thing if she can’t put two words together. Beauty also comes from within…
He added: ‘When I meet the right girl I will do whatever it takes to hold onto her.’
Ah I know he is so cheesy, but Torres you can hold on to me anyday…The money will more than make up for the cheesy lines!!

Quick Report: Manchester United 1-0 Arsenal
April 30, 2009

Manchester United are a step closer to a spot in the UEFA Champions League final, for the second consecutive time, following a 1-0 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford. The Gunners have no reason to complain, having conceded only one goal.
United dominated from the start and it did not take long for the first opportunities to arise in front of Manuel Almunia’s goal. However, the Spanish keeper was in top shape and blocked several powerful efforts.
But the home side did take the lead on 17 minutes. Michael Carrick sent in a low pass from the left and John O’Shea fired it in the roof of the goal. Almunia did get his hands to it but couldn’t sufficiently deflect the shot.
Cristiano Ronaldo almost got a second on 69 minutes but the Portuguese forward hit the crossbar from about 25 meters.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s men, with freshly crowned Players’ Player of the Year Ryan Giggs starting on the bench, were dominant in all ways and if they have any reason to criticize their performance, it would be based on the fact that more goals should have been scored in this game.
The second leg will be played at London’s Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, May 5th.

Abbey Clancy Does the WAGs Proud at The Brits
February 20, 2009
In the fashion stakes that is, not her musical talents, well not yet anyway!

Crouch’s girl Abbey Clancy showed all the celebs how to look great on the red carpet last night.
The WAG wore a gorgeous white Balenciaga shift dress with some seriously high black gladiator heels and looked amazing.
I’m loving the shape of this dress, very this season and I think it could actually be worn by non-models. Fab!!
How long do you think Abbey has spent in the mirror perfecting this model pose, it’s work of a pro!
